How To Improve Your Microbiome

The microbiome, which is the bacteria that’s living inside the gut, is the master regulator for the whole body. It regulates neurotransmitters, hormones, antibodies, body fat, blood sugar, insulin sensitivity, energy production & sleep cycles. It runs the whole show. So the question is, "How to improve your microbiome?" If you think that you have a good microbiome because you go to the bathroom regularly, digestive issues are only one small part of the microbiome and often not what presents as health problems.

What presents clinically for someone with a really bad microbiome will typically be fatigue, brain fog and immune problems - either too weak or autoimmune or both. Your gut does far more than most give it credit for. It goes past just digesting food:

  • It talks to your brain. Your gut and brain chat so constantly that the gut is nicknamed “the second brain”.
  • It influences your mood.
  • It hosts up to 80% of your immune system.
  • And it may just be the single most important marker of your overall health!

Bacteria begins to colonize your gut the moment you’re born. If you were delivered naturally, breast fed, given raw fruits and vegetables, and allowed to play in microbe-rich dirt, then chances are you started life with a healthy, diverse microbiome.

But what if you were delivered via Caesarean section, formula-fed, and grew up in the city? Well, you may have a higher rate of allergic and immune-related diseases, and of developing metabolic disorder and becoming obese. You also have a higher chance of getting diabetes and have higher systemic inflammation.

Luckily, the choices you make as an adult can fix or prevent these problems. When scientists and doctors began to understand the importance of the microbiome to our health, initially the focus was on probiotic supplementation. Probiotics can be PART of maintaining microbiome health, but to initially GAIN microbiome health, other things need to be done.

There are good bacteria & bad bacteria in the microbiome. When considering how to improve your microbiome, you need to have a positive ratio of the good bacteria to the bad bacteria. Antibiotics, chlorinated water & pesticides like glyphosate really knock down good bacteria. But you can regrow good bacteria as long as you feed the microbiome PREbiotics. That is the food source they use to increase in number. Prebiotics are also really important to keep the good bacteria alive.

But the issue is until you knock down the bad bacteria, there’s no surface area for good bacteria to grow and colonize and increase. Once the bad bacteria gets a foothold in the digestive tract and establishes a biofilm, it’s nearly impossible to get rid of it. They’re happy to live in our guts, continually generating inflammatory lipids, toxic gasses, putrefying amines & poisonous gasses our whole lives.

So to regain our health, we need to knock these bad bacteria down so they’ll stop making these toxins and then we can take prebiotics to regrow our good bacteria and recover a healthy microbiome. The problem is that almost everything that kills the bad bacteria is even more detrimental to the good bacteria.

So the question is, how do we kill the bad bacteria without killing the good bacteria? There is literally only one answer: the colon has to have a pH of 6.5 or below (5.7 optimal) and there have to be short-chain fatty acids present. So how the heck do we do this? By using a few supplements in a specific regimen.

30-Day detox/rebuild for how to improve your microbiome:

Step 1: First, you will need to detox your microbiome. For the first 10 days, you’ll take:

Strata-Flora (1 teaspoon daily. Stir into pure, Energized Water first thing in the morning. Wait 1 hour before eating.)

Bicarbamet (1 capsule first thing in the morning. Wait 1 hour before eating.)

Phylamet (1 capsule first thing in the morning. Wait 1 hour before eating.)

Pokegeshi (1 capsule first thing in the morning. Wait 1 hour before eating.)

Take all of the above with TWO large glasses of Energized Water, one of which contains the Strata-Flora

Ellagica (1 capsule 3 times per day, with or without food.)

Glytamins (Insert one chilled suppository rectally, One Every Other Day. Store in fridge, once inserted, simply leave it in to dissolve. Do it when most convenient for you.)

Zoiben - The first time you take Zoiben, follow these directions to ensure you are not allergic to clove or another essential oil in Zoiben. Store it in a dark area away from light, like a cabinet. Shake well before using. Zoiben should not be taken undiluted. I recommend using Zoiben at night after you have eaten your last meal.

Days 1 to 5 take 1 teaspoon mixed with 4 teaspoons of sesame oil. Swish around your teeth for 5 minutes, Every Other Day, for 5 days (3 applications). Spit out when done. Do not swallow. This is also called oil pulling. If you have no negative reactions, you can continue.

Days 6 to 10 take 2 teaspoons mixed in 1 cup of yogurt (or any oil based food) per 150 pounds body weight, Every Other Day, for 5 days (3 applications). If you have no negative reactions, you can continue.

Step 2: After the first 10 days, discontinue Pokegeshi & Glytamins. Increase Strata-Flora to 2 teaspoons daily. Keep taking Bicarbamet, Phylamet, & Ellagica as described above. For Zoiben: Days 11 to 21 Rub 1/4 teaspoon into each foot, Every Other Day, for 10 days (6 applications).

Also, start taking Panaceum (1 capsule 3 times per day, with food.)

Step 3: After this second 10-day protocol, your colon should have a pH of 6.5 or lower now. In order to keep growing good gut bacteria & keep away bad bacteria, keep taking Strata Flora but add a teaspoon in the evening before dinner, for a total of 3 teaspoons per day. Keep taking Bicarbamet, Phylamet, Ellagica, & Panaceum as described above. Going forward with Zoiben, simply brush your teeth with it once per day, but don’t rinse your mouth out afterwards. Not only does this support proper detox function, but it may also support the body in maintaining a healthy oral microflora.

After 10 days of Step 3, you should be ready to adjust dosages down on some supplements and enter into the maintenance phase, which you would optimally engage in for the rest of your life to maintain a healthy microbiome.

Ellagica (1 capsule per day, with or without food.)

Zoiben (Simply brush your teeth with it once per day, but don’t rinse your mouth out afterwards.)

In addition, you’ll want to consider the following:

Iridesca (1 teaspoon added to the same glass of Energized Water that contains the Strata-Flora, and 1 more teaspoon in the middle of the afternoon.) Iridesca is the most complete therapeutic grade Superfood Powder supplement available.

Beta Glucan (3 capsules daily.) Beta glucan modulates the immune system by interacting with immune cells in the gut. This helps reduce systemic inflammation associated with mental health disorders like anxiety and depression. Beta glucan also enhances the overall health of the gut environment by promoting the growth of psychobiotic bacteria (a class of probiotics and prebiotics that improve mental health by influencing the gut-brain axis), improving gut barrier integrity, and reducing "leaky gut," linked to neuroinflammation.

Tributyrin-X (1 softgel 3 times per day with food.) Tributyrin-X is a PostBiotic, a new class of supplement that helps your body make Short Chain Fatty Acids (SCFAs), and their immense ability to help repair the body.

Fibrenza (Take 2 capsules, twice daily on an empty stomach with water 20 minutes before meals.) Fibrenza contains Proteolytic and Systemic Enzymes. It is naturally anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and anti-bacterial. It is also fibrinolytic (dissolves external and even internal scar tissues), blood cleansing (minimizing the leading causes of blood clots), & immune system modulating.

If your gut has been working against you, this step-by-step strategy gives you a roadmap back to resilience. Knowing how to improve your microbiome is not about finding ONE perfect food or supplement - it's about rebuilding your entire ecosystem from the ground up. When your gut regains its strength, everything from your mood to your metabolism starts working in your favor again.
