Indigo-3G – Does It Really Work?
|
|
Our Indigo-3G Review revealed some interesting information. Indigo-3G shrinks fat cells and limits fat storage while increasing and enhancing calorie-burning brown adipose tissue.
It reduces the size and number of fat cells through multiple mechanisms, including promoting the browning of white adipose tissue, activating AMPK, inhibiting adipogenesis, enhancing fatty acid oxidation, and reducing inflammation in adipose tissue. These combined effects decrease fat storage, increase fat utilization, and reduce fat cell size and overall fat mass.
Indigo-3G has a broad range of abilities, including increasing insulin sensitivity, lowering blood sugar, reducing body fat, reducing cholesterol, improving skeletal muscle endurance, reducing the risk of heart attack, and even improving night vision, among others.

Indigo-3G Review
Indigo-3G is now formulated with glycerol monostearate (GMS) to enhance the
absorption and bioavailability of Cyanidin-3-Glucoside (C3G). GMS promotes
micelle formation in the gut to transport C3G across the intestinal lining
effectively. GMS increases C3G’s solubility at the absorption site and supports
its uptake through lipid absorption pathways. The improved dispersion and
enhanced lipid delivery allow the body to absorb more C3G where it matters
most.
Body Changers: Gene Expression and Nutrient Partitioning
1. Promotion of Browning of White Adipose Tissue
Mechanism:
- Browning:
This process involves the transformation of white adipose tissue (WAT),
which primarily stores fat, into brown-like adipose tissue (beige fat),
which has higher mitochondrial content and is more metabolically active.
- Effect:
Brown and beige fat cells burn more energy to produce heat (thermogenesis)
than white fat cells.
2. Activation of AMP-Activated Protein Kinase (AMPK)
Mechanism:
- AMPK Activation:
C3G activates AMPK, an enzyme that plays a critical role in cellular
energy homeostasis. AMPK activation increases fatty acid oxidation and
inhibits fatty acid synthesis.
- Effect: C3G
helps decrease the size of fat cells by enhancing fatty acid oxidation and
reducing lipid synthesis.
3. Inhibition of Adipogenesis
Mechanism:
- Adipogenesis:
It's the process by which preadipocytes (precursor cells) differentiate
into mature adipocytes (fat cells).
- Effect: C3G
can inhibit the differentiation of preadipocytes into mature fat cells,
thus reducing the number of fat cells.
4. Enhancement of Fatty Acid Oxidation
Mechanism:
- Fatty Acid Oxidation:
The process breaks down fatty acids to produce energy.
- Effect:
Enhanced fatty acid oxidation reduces the lipid content within fat cells,
decreasing their size.
5. Reduction of Inflammation in Adipose Tissue
Mechanism:
- Inflammation:
Chronic low-grade inflammation in adipose tissue is associated with
obesity and can contribute to the expansion of fat cells.
- Effect: C3G
reduces inflammation in adipose tissue, which can help restore normal
metabolic functions and reduce fat cell size.
The AMPK Advantage
AMPK is an amazing enzyme. It's found in every cell and serves as the
body's master regulating switch, determining how fat you'll be and even
how long you'll live.
Here are a few of the bad things that could happen if you're in short supply of AMPK or have an AMPK signaling deficit:
- Abdominal obesity
- Loss in insulin sensitivity
- Excess glucose
- Chronic inflammation
- High triglycerides and LDL
- Mitochondrial dysfunction
- Accumulation of cellular debris
- Increased cellular stress
- Unfavorable gene expression
- Heart failure
- Cancer
54% Fewer Cancers
AMPK has long been of interest to people who study the chemistry of
lifting and body composition because it can de-sensitize fat cells to
insulin's effect so they can't store nutrients as easily. Instead,
muscles get bigger while fat stores get smaller. But a recent study came
out appraising the impact of a prescription drug's AMPK-modulating
effects on cancer.
In one of the largest studies of its kind, a group of scientists
pored over the 10-year case histories of 8,000 type II diabetics who'd
been taking a drug (metformin) to lower blood sugar. They found that
users had an incredible 54% lower incidence of all cancers compared to
the general population.
Not only did the glucose-disposal agent exhibit a preventative
effect, but users who developed cancer had a much higher survival rate.
The earlier they started using the drug, the longer they continued to
fight off cancer.
So why would a blood-sugar-lowering drug protect against cancer? One
reason is that they reduce obesity, a risk factor for more than a dozen
cancers. Secondly, AMPK, in addition to being a fuel sensor and
metabolic master switch, regulates cell growth and replication. Once
AMPK is activated, cancer cells starve themselves because the energy
lifeline has been cut.
Boosting AMPK – Considering the Options
There are four known ways to boost AMPK:
- Prescription drugs. Sure, you could take
prescription glucose-disposal agents. However, as described earlier,
these drugs might cause the potentially lethal condition called lactic
acidosis and they also interfere with workout-induced muscle protein
synthesis.
- Calorie restriction. Eating a lot less over years
or even a lifetime increases AMPK, which is probably why calorie
restriction seems to work in extending life span, at least in laboratory
models. Unfortunately, calorie restriction is difficult, joyless, and
contradictory to adding muscle.
- Exercise. Most exercise increases AMPK.
Unfortunately, the increases in AMPK are short-lived and irregular and
cease some time after exercise is over.
- Botanical extracts. Plant alternatives, particularly supplemental C3G (Buy at Amazon),
work exceptionally well in raising AMPK, seemingly as well or better
than prescription drugs, and they don't interfere with muscle protein
synthesis.
